Lets remember these learners who suffered at the hand of Bullies
On August 1, 2013 , the Cape Argus reported the following:
In the last few months many stories have made national headlines:
- David Shlongwane from Soshanguwe,16, committed suicide after he was bullied by 4 classmates.
- Grade 11 learner of Kwazulu-Natal attempted suicide after she was alledgedly bullied.
- Grade 11 student dropped out of school and was admitted to hospital for stress , as she sufferred from racial taunts.
- Allan Manual ,17, from Kasselsvlei High School in Cape Town, was stabbed and killed by a matric pupil.
- Gauteng Department of Education, expelled 5 Lethabong Secondary School students.Four of these learners have been charged with bullying.
- khanyisani Mnqayi ,15, from Wentworth High School in Durban, was fatally stabbed by a fellow learner.
- grade 11 learner was arrested in Gauteng for stabbing and killing a fellow learner, whom he accussed of bullying him.
- Raylinn Fortuin,16, died after being stabbed at Beauvallon Highschool in Valhalla park
- Thabhani Ntini died after being stabbed during a breaktime scuffle on the grounds of Hillcrest Secondary School in Mosselbay.
- Gordon High School pupil Bradley October, 15, was stabbed at school.
